A quick tour of our two weeks cleaning up up the fallen trees from the storm back in May, cruising the Rideau Canal with Lisa's brother Mark and the many, many meals with friends and family.
Arriving in Lisa's home town of Dunrobin is like pulling off a busy freeway onto a country lane. Lord knows its not because they drive slower. The pace is just slower. People have more time to just drop in for a visit or come see if you need a hand. As you're driving or walking down the road everyone is happy to give you a wave. I'm not sure they are waving because they are just that friendly or because the figure they must know you. Either way it makes you feel welcome and soon you'll be waving at everyone like a local and may be even using the local greeting of "Giday how are ya now?"
